On 27 September 2019 Pro Refugiu Association organized in Bucharest a conference with the objective of addressing the issues that concern the current trends regarding the direct / indirect involvement of the economic sector / business environment in the supply and demand chain of goods and services that may result from exploitation of victims of human trafficking. The discussions were also focused on improving cooperation between institutions that have competence in combating human trafficking and the business environment in order to prevent the phenomenon of human trafficking. The event was attended by representatives of the business environment (e.g. the hotel industry federation), the national agency against human trafficking, the directorate for the investigation of organized crime and terrorism, the ministry of justice, the national employment agency, non-profit organizations.
