Conferences in Germany, Greece, Bulgaria and Italy
Between October and November 2019 the partners organized a series of conferences in Stuttgart Germany (October 11, 2019), in Athens Greece (October 18, 2019), in Sofia Bulgaria (October 24, 2019), in Rome Italy (29 November 2019). The purpose of these local events was to bring together key anti-trafficking stakeholders and representatives of the business/economic sectors to jointly debate on the implications that human trafficking have and what needs to be done to strengthen cooperation to prevent and combat it. Discusses focused on current policies, practices, legislative gaps, public and private initiatives implemented so far to fight against human trafficking. The events were attended by key-institutions representatives such as: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Public Prosecutor’s Office, National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Confederation of Independent Trade Union, Federation of Enterprises, Civil Aviation National Authority, Federal Office of Labour and Social Affairs, IOM-Country Office.
